Privacy Policy
ShutterGlow (“we”, “us”) provides a platform for photo booth businesses: a web dashboard and an iPad application. This policy describes what we collect, how it’s used, and who we share it with.
What we collect
- Account data: your name, email address, company name, and role, provided when you sign up or are invited to an organization.
- Event data: client names, event dates, venues, and booth configuration you enter into the dashboard.
- Booth usage data:when a guest starts a capture at one of your events, the booth records a session marker (your organization, the event, and a timestamp) so you can see activity on your dashboard’s Insights page. This never includes photos, faces, or any guest personal information.
- Technical data:standard server logs (IP address, request timestamps) from our hosting providers, and, if you consent to analytics cookies, website usage measured via the Meta Pixel (see “Analytics and advertising” below).
What we deliberately do not collect
- Guest photos never leave the booth. Photos, GIFs, and boomerangs captured at events are stored locally on the iPad running the booth. They are not uploaded to our servers. Sharing (AirDrop, email, QR, print) happens directly from the device at the guest’s request.
- Face detection runs on-device. Features like face props and smile-to-shoot use Apple’s on-device image processing. No facial data, images, or biometric information is transmitted to us or any third party.
Analytics and advertising
On our marketing website we use the Meta Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API to measure how our advertising performs. When you consent to analytics cookies, this may send Meta a one-way hashed version of your email address (if you sign up), your IP address, and your browser user-agent, so Meta can attribute a sign-up to an ad. The pixel does not load at all unless you accept analytics cookies on the banner shown on your first visit; you can decline and the site works normally. We do not run the pixel inside the dashboard or the iPad app.
Service providers we share data with
We use the following processors to run the service. We share only what each needs, and we never sell your data:
- Supabase: stores account and event data (Postgres, hosted in the United States).
- Vercel: hosts the website and dashboard.
- Stripe: processes subscription payments. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Meta: advertising measurement, only with your consent, as described above.
- Sentry: error monitoring, to diagnose crashes.
- Resend: sends account emails such as sign-up confirmations.
Access control
Data is scoped to your organization. Operators can only access events they are assigned to.
Data retention and deletion
Deleting an event removes it and its booth configuration permanently. To delete your account or organization entirely, contact us at the address below and we’ll action it within 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to withdraw analytics consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner). To exercise any of these, contact us below.
